Welcome to the Website for the Saylorville Yacht Club Sailing School!

SYCSS was established in 2007 by Saylorville Yacht Club sailors who want to share their  love of sailing with the central Iowa community. The SYCSS is a non-profit corporation established to educate persons interested in sailing and to promote  safe sailing in Central Iowa. In cooperation with Big Creek Marina, Polk City, Iowa and Gray's  Lake Park, Des Moines, Iowa , we now offer a wide range of small boat and  advanced instructional opportunities for people of all ages, keeping the  keelboat classes and large boat activities on Saylorville Lake. SYCSS admits students of any race, color and national or ethnic origin.
